For his spring summer collection 2013 Burak Uyan proposes a new sensorial territory. His inspiration originates from the experimental art and installations of Olafur Eliasson
a Danish artist that reinterprets natural occurrences and landscapes in his art.
This season Burak retains the tactile comfort of the shoe, while emphasizing its optical sensation through different degrees of reflectivity. Burak creates a complex position of figures by folding and grafting geometrical shapes and lines. The geometry is then given the illusion of 3 dimensionality by reflective materials such metallic and patent fabrics that reflect light at different instances such as during a bright day or out a night with city lights or through the use of textural materials such as python and water snake.
Although the season focuses on metallic and patent fabrics, softer fabrics such as silk and supple calfskins are used to diversify the sensorial territory, which is also portrayed in his palette of colors, which vary from pastels such as pinks, pistachio and apricot to acidy colors such as fuchsia, pivoine and aqua.
Produced in the shoe capital of Parabiago , Italy the collection assures exceptional quality and a meticulous attention to detail.
